06 The Desecration of the Cerulean Tea House

Leaving the relative calm of the bathhouse behind, the adventurers ventured back into the city’s treacherous streets. The peace was short-lived; in the shadows of a narrow alley, they were forced to contend with Gurglegut, whom they swiftly struck down. Their momentum carried them into a second, more personal conflict when they crossed paths with the Gray Butcher. In a decisive battle that ended his forced parades forever, the party stood victorious over the fallen butcher.

Their path then led to the Cerulean Tea House, but they found no comfort there. The building was a hollowed-out wreck, having been abandoned for years and systematically desecrated by the very man they sought: Mo Douqiu. As the party crossed the threshold of the ruined establishment, they were suddenly besieged by a Giant Frog and a Giant Scorpion lurking within the debris. Through steel and spell, the party overcame the ambush. With the monsters slain and the silence of the ruins returning, they finally found themselves standing before the architect of the tea house’s ruin, Mo Douqiu.
