07 The Shroud Lifts on Willowshore

The long shadow cast by Mo Douqiu finally retracted as the party defeated him within the wreckage of his own making. Amidst the dust and echoes of combat, the adventurers were met with a grim sight: villagers suspended from the rafters, victims of Mo Douqiu’s cruelty. With solemn respect, the party cut down the deceased and made the necessary preparations for them to receive a formal and dignified burial.

Their search of the ruined tea house eventually led to a hidden back room, where they discovered a group of surviving villagers held in captivity. The party liberated the survivors and escorted them back to safety. When word reached the village elders, Granny Hu and Old Matsuki, a palpable shift occurred in the atmosphere. The thick, suffocating fog that had long isolated Willowshore began to thin and vanish into the air. With the source of the corruption purged, the immediate curse gripping the region was at last dispelled, leaving the village to face a new, clearer dawn.
